What is Lean?

Lean is a systematic method for the elimination of waste within any (Manufacturing, Administration, Processing, Productivity, Life, Living etc.,) system.

Essentially, lean is centered on making obvious what adds value by reducing everything else.

Lean also takes into account waste created through overburden ("Muri") and waste created through unevenness in work loads ("Mura").

Few Terminologies in Lean:

Muda: is a Japanese word meaning elimination of waste
Mura: is a Japanese word meaning work loads 
Muri: is a Japanese word meaning overburden
